Today, Keep It Moving participated with The Greening of Detroit in planting trees at Belle Island. Keep It Moving would like to give a special thank you to ACTrees for allowing us to take part in the ACTrees Day Annual Conference in Charlotte, NC as well as the National Partners in Community Forestry. Keep it Moving would like to thank everyone who participated in our 2014 National NeighborWoods Month events.
Special thanks to the Greening Of Detroit and Corona Care for supplying us with the proper tools to carry out our events. #NeighborWoods "Working Hard To Promote The Growth Of Detroit" We fulfilled and met are goals for this year's cleanup. Keep It Moving Inc. would like to thank the Boys and Girls Club of America Highland Park district for their cooperation and leadership skills. We teamed up and successfully completed the objectives and goals of the Act CXS grant. We would also like to thank Alliance for Community Trees for allowing us to work with this organization. First Keep It Moving Inc wants thank everyone who has supported us over the years as well as those who celebrated with us today. We would like to send out a special thanks to Attorney Elliot Hall for being our Special Guest Speaker and sharing his wonderful memories of the late Mr. Robert F. Shannon Sr, Chairman of Keep It Moving . Keep It Moving would like to thank Mr. Brain Conaway, Waste Management Public Sector Solutions III for all he has done to support us. Special thanks to Dr. Harold Taylor for speaking at the mural of Mr. Robert F. Shannon Sr. located inside Marcus Garvey Academy. Special thanks to Ms. Jewel Ware, Wayne County Commissioner of District 4 for our resolution. Last but not least Keep It Moving owe a big thanks to the Blessed Hearts female gospel ensemble consisting of Karra Wardlaw Thomas, Mildrea Smith, Anjela Moore, Loletha Porter Coleman, & Cynthia Harrington for their wonderful performance that you can watch at the bottom of this page. This night was a night to remember not only did we celebrate 10 years of service but we also celebrated in honor of the late Robert F. Shannon Sr, The Great Great American Clean Up sponsored by KAB and Waste Management. Also we celebrated the opening of the R.F.S. Educational Center in honor of Mr. Shannon Sr. Thank everyone who came out and us to celebrate Black History Month. We also would like to thank Mr. Brian Conaway for his nonstop support to Keep It Moving Inc.Special thanks to Mr. Scott Jamieson of Corporate Partnerships and National Recruiting for providing Keep It Moving Inc. with a Travel Scholarship to attend the ACTree annual meeting in Pittsburgh, PA. Also we would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Kevin Sayers DNR Lansing, Michigan for The Partners In Community Forestry. November 4-8, 2013 Keep It Moving Inc. just completed their second event for #NeighborWoods Month. Today, Keep It Moving Inc. completed one of two events planned for #NeighborWoods month. Mr. Robert F. Shannon Sr. was born July 15, - January 19, 2010. He served as the Chairman of Keep It Moving Inc. from 2003-2010.
